Industry professionals convened at the 8th Annual ADCOLOR® Awards and Industry Conference from September 17 – 20.  Held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, attendees had the chance to hear from thought leaders, industry legends and rising stars. Supported by Omnicom Group, 4A’s, AAF, among others, the three day event encompassed: The ADCOLOR® Awards, The ADCOLOR® Industry Conference, ADCOLOR® University and ADCOLOR® Futures.

Sally Ali, DDB Worldwide Chief Talent Officer, judged the first ever ADCOLOR® Futures Case Study Judge. Launched in 2012, ADCOLOR® Futures is a career-building program that provides mentorship and education to young professionals with the goal of supporting the talent of tomorrow, today.

Additionally, winners of the 2014 Bill Bernbach Diversity Scholarship Program were invited to attend the conference on behalf of DDB Worldwide Communications Group. As part of their attendance at the event, Art Directors: Eunhye Kim (School of Visual Arts), Alexander Belgrace (VCU Brandcenter) and Joshua Namdar (Miami Ad School) were afforded the opportunity to network with individuals from advertising, marketing, media and PR who are championing diversity in their current careers.

Committed to serving his community, DDB New York Director of Integrated Production, Ralph Navarro, is helping to inspire the next generation of multicultural professionals as an active member of ADCOLOR® where he serves on the Governance Committee, and as a Juror and Facilitator on awards selection committees. Last year he was also is an ADCOLOR® Futures Ambassador, mentoring and guiding young industry professionals.

Ralph was recognized as one of the recipients of the first-ever ADCOLOR®Unsung Hero Award. And, in 2013, he oversaw the production of TAGLINES — a unique hardback featuring sixty of the marketing and advertising industry’s most prolific “influencers.”
